A TEENAGE GIRL DEALING WITH HER EMOTIONS (2024)
THESE CARDBOARD STRUCTURES REPRESENT THREE ABSTRACT EMOTIONS: OVERWHELMED, VANITY AND DISSOCIATION.
These emotions are the abstracted glimpses of emotional states that Gen Z deals with on an everyday basis. The three different emotions are plastered with images of my face. As a teenage girl, like many others within my generation, I am constantly taking photos of everything and at odd moments in which I am undergo emotional stress. The three emotions contain barcodes; I trapped the physical emotions within the digital realm.
This project aims to highlight the digitization of feelings as the young generation records their thoughts and emotions instead of dealing with them in real life.
